Fetid Offering
Invigorates the Watchers, making them more treacherous than normal, but also making them worthy prey for a special hunt.
Enemies are strengthened when this rite is used. They will have their stats boosted and appear with a smoky red visual effect to signify their upgrade. This makes the dungeon harder, but rewards you with more Blood Echoes. It also increases the amount of items that will drop from defeated enemies, making it very much worth the effort to kill those powered-up enemies. The exact value of Fetid rite buff is extra 35% AR.
Note: There's a similar aura with different properties that can appear on certain enemies exclusively in Loran dungeons. Despite their similarities, this aura is not related to Fetid rite. Enemies with such aura (red) will have Rally Effect and can regain health as you do [Regain System] - Video. This aura appears around labyrinth madmen, male beast patients and scourge beasts. Besides rally ability, these enemies have only 70% of their normal HP and always drop cursed gems. Rally aura scourge beast can also drop Beast Blood Pellets (5% drop rate at base Discovery).
Rotted Offering
Beckons ungodly forces, normally terrifying things, but also worthy prey for a special hunt.
This rite triggers one of, or a combination of, the following difficulty-increasing effects:
The Eye Collector appears and summons Mad Ones.
Tomb Prospector Hunters often appear as enemies.
The Labyrinth Ritekeeper appears. It will patrol large rooms, gather other enemies around it and then strengthen them. Even when the Ritekeeper is killed, the enemies will retain their powered-up status.
It also increases the chance of getting very powerful Blood Gem effects, but this comes at the cost of strong negative effects. The chances are different in Hintertomb dungeons compared to other types, but in all cases the total chance adds up to 100%, so one of the effects is guaranteed to occur. [Rotted Rite Testing]
In some cases, the Rotted rite can cause small changes in a dungeon layout. For example, in some rooms the Rotted rite adds carriages to better hide the Eye Collectors from the player. These carriages only seem to appear when the Rotted enemy is Eye Collector summoning Mad Ones. [image 01, image 02, image 03]
Cursed Offering
Defiles dungeons in which hunters' HP is greatly eroded, but what better place to seek cursed blood gems but in the midst of defilement?
The Cursed Offering adds by far the most challenge, because in Cursed dungeons your HP is cut in half. Unless you have exceptionally high vitality this will make even the most basic enemies deadly, and forces a more careful approach. As with the other offerings, it does come with some real rewards, though; enemies defeated in Cursed dungeons give 20% more Blood Echoes and the items you'll find will be of higher rarity. Blood Gems you find will have a very high chance of having the 'Cursed' effect.
Updated: The guest player's HP will drop to 50% instead of 65% in a Cursed Chalice Dungeon.
