Capcom registers 'Capcom Fighters Network' trademark, could use the name for a computer program or online portal
<div align="center"></div> trademark registration for "Capcom Fighters Network" that the House of Street Fighter has filed earlier this month with the United States Patent and Trademark Office has gone live, EventHubs has learned. According to the coverage description for the Capcom Fighters Network (CFN) trademark, the name could potentially be used on at least two different things. The first is a computer program that would "enable uploading, accessing, posting, displaying, tagging, blogging, linking, sharing or otherwise providing images, information, data and electronic media over the Internet" -- which sounds like it might potentially be a tool for players to share replays or screenshots, possibly for Street Fighter 5. And the second way in which the Capcom Fighters Network could potentially manifest, is an online portal that would let users pull up their friends' "ranking or scores of games through the websites", sign up for tournaments and leagues, take surveys, and even play "on-line [sic] interactive multiplayer games", among other things. Check out the trademark coverage description for the Capcom Fighters Network name in full, through the image below. <div align="center"></div> The Capcom Fighters Network trademark was filed first in Japan on April 1, and subsequently in the U.S. on April 2. We were unable to find a public listing for a similar trademark filing for Europe, but it is likely that the games maker registered the trademark for that region too. Although the trademark coverage description provides a number of very solid ideas on all the various forms of services the Capcom Fighters Network could potentially offer, it's still fairly hard to ascertain at this point what exactly the CFN is for, or how it's different from the Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom Unity portals. We've reached out to Capcom for clarification on what Capcom Fighters Network could be about, but the fighting games maker has declined to comment at this juncture.

Ono hints the next Street Fighter 5 character is someone we haven't seen in a while, also shows alternate Chun-Li color
<div align="center"></div> Some Street Fighter fans were slightly disappointed when the end of M. Bison's trailer didn't tease the next character for Street Fighter 5. While this makes sense with E3 right around the corner, fans still wanted something to get excited about. Well, here's your tease. The next character reveal likely won't be coming from Street Fighter 4 according to a recent Tweet from Street Fighter 5's producer, Yoshinori Ono. In it, he states that the new character is someone we haven't seen for a while. That knocks out a ton of options, and leads into the hype of looking at other Street Fighter Alpha characters or Street Fighter 3 characters making an appearance. It might even mean the release of a fighter from the first game. Also, in Ono fashion, he has released an off-screen picture of Street Fighter 5 showing Chun-Li, who appears to be sporting purple, and Bison. Check out the image below, then let us know who you think will be joining the roster next. <div align="center"></div> Source: Yoshinori Ono's Twitter.
